Home is typically the place your family is most comfortable. It’s your safe space; the one place you know you can let your guard down. And that comfortability and increased willingness to be vulnerable will come through in your photographs, making them even more special

Does Dad need to hop on a conference call during a feeding break? Is big brother ready for a nap and/or his playroom after his part of the session is over? When I’m in your home, family members have the added flexibility to pop in and out as needed. Hello, convenience!!

Picture this: you’ve just brought your baby home, you have absolutely no idea what day of the week it is, let alone established a consistent ‘schedule’ yet. Life’s a whirlwind of feedings, diaper changes, and sleepless nights. Now, imagine not having to pack up your little one and all their essentials to come to the studio. Stay in the comfort of your own space and I’ll bring the studio to you. Yup, everything comes with me! My posing bean bag for baby, wraps, blankets, the magic Baby Shusher (run, don’t walk to snag one of these for yourself), artwork samples AND…your favorite dresses from the studio wardrobe come along, too.
But my home isn’t “pretty enough!”
There’s this idea that an in-home session takes place in your home so we can see your decor, countertop finishes and your hardwood floors. And while we may catch a glimpse of those things, that’s not what I’m there for. I’m there for the comfortability you feel inside of your home. go reread the comfortability section. You can be fully yourself, relaxed and at ease, and in the moment with your family. If your home is filled with people who love each other, that makes it perfect for in-home photos.
